2002 jetta oil hose

Jetta is leaking oil-only when running Mechanic says it is a broken hose and $300 repair. I have searched for information on this hose but can't find a part or any reference to a hose 1.8 turbo. Is this legit? I thought it might be the oil cooler seal.

Yes, could be the oil feed for the turbo or the oil cooler seal.

The turbo oil line connects to the top of the oil filter flange and
then runs around the side of the engine to the back where the turbo
is located.

You will need to check carefully where the oil is leaking from, to
determine if it is a cheap (oil cooler seal) or expensive repair.

If it is a 1.8T... it could also be the oil feed hose for the turbo.

This hose is pressurized with oil and will cause oil to run out at
a good pace when the engine is running.

The PCV hoses mentioned above will be a gradual leak over time.
