2002 Toyota Camry New Rear Caliper Locking up
- have replaced pads, caliper, pins, greased pins, bushings, rotors brake fluid - checked for leaks, none - the rear passenger caliper is closed during driving, intermittenly, causing rotor to heat extremelyand pads to burn..at a loss what else could be the problem

Check the brake hose if its collasped internally acting as a one way check valve-

When it locks up, crawl underneath and open the bleeder screw. If that brake releases, check the rubber flex hose for the presence of a metal bracket crimped around it. If there is one, open that crimp up a little with a pliers. Rust forms inside the crimp and constricts the hose.

If there is no bracket, crack the steel line open at the master cylinder. If that lets the brake release, (let's hope not), suspect contaminated brake fluid. The clue would be the rubber bladder seal under the reservoir cap will be ballooned up and mushy.

Hey that was a huge help!! WHen I looked underneath, I found where a piece of road debris apparently hit the metal bracket and it was bent AND rusty, put on a new brackert, good as new - Thanks!!
