This car has sat for about 6 months due to being away for work. I am now trying to get the car started again. I've already replaced the battery and prior to not driving it I was having ignition lock cylinder issues. I have also replaced that part. when I installed the new lock cylinder the illumination ring that fits over the cylinder would not fit unless I removed the inner ring that contained two wires that attached somewhere behind the dash. I am still unable to start the car and was wondering if this inner ring has anything to do with it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
