Have you checked the fuses? Did you try all speeds?

It just went over the mileage for the warranty and now the driver side wiper does not work. The passenger side works fine but the driver side does not move.

When you grab the two arms the driver side is limp and moves freely. The passenger side is stiff and does not move.

I went to look at the linkage but I can not figure out how to pull the plastic cover over the wiper motor without breaking it.

What should I do and what should I look for?

check the nut that holds the drivers side wiper in place, it is the usual reason a wiper stops working. it is under the cap on the wiper arm, at the base.

Four cylinder four wheel drive automatic 194,000 miles

The wiper on the driver side stopped working, though the one on the passenger side works fine. Can anyone tell me what part needs replaced? Thanks so much.

Hi there,

Check the attach nut at the bottom of the wiper arm is tight. if this is tight and you can move the arm by hand across the screen easily, the regulator pivot is faulty, the entire regulator will need to be replaced.
