I got a 2002 saturn station wagon with a 2007 2.2 ecotec engine and it would not start. The computer was replaced with a brand new one and still would not start. The dealer charged $800.00 to "fix it" they didn't and still charged us. Someone said to change the crankshaft because the sensor is not comparable. If is anyway to fix it without changing the crankshaft?

This is what happens when you change years. Compare the new crank sensor with the one in the old engine. If they are different, see if you can reuse the old one. Let me know what you find.

It is different... the original have 2 wires and the new one have 3 wires. Anything we can do to make it comparable?

sorry.. also the old sensor was put back in on the new one but it didn't start.

I am going to let this post stand for another tech to look at. I honestly don't know if there is a way. I don't think there is.
