i understand that after i turn my car off its normal to hear the fan on as it is cooling down but over the last week or so it is much louder than normal,ive checked my coolant it is fine as i check this regulary.

If your cooling fan is making a louder than usual noise than it's possible that the cooling fan's motor is going bad, most likely the fan motor's bearings going out. To check the fan motor's bearings just spin the fan with your hands (with motor/ignition off) and listen for a rattling or scratchy sound. If you hear this then you know the fan motor is bad.
