Why Proton Wira 1.5 Auto Cannot Reverse

2002 Proton Wira Auto 1.5. Problem in reverse gear. It cannot reverse, only can drive straight. What is the problem? Which sensor/parts problem? Could someone please help. Tks

Is the transmission slipping in forward gears?
Have you checked for trouble codes?
Are you able to get into park?

It can forward when in "D". When turn to "R" for reverse, can feel the gear at "reverse mode", but it cannot reverse at all. Base on your experience, what's wrong is this? Where should I start to repair?

This sounds like the gear range selector sensor on the side of the transmission is bad not telling the computer the transmission is in reverse so no command is given.
