;you may have a post on the underhood fuse box that does that. you'l need to use a test light for it. It may be marked AUx B all you will have to do is to unscrew the nut and place your terminalend there andretighten thenut.

I checked out the AUx B post in the underhood fuse box but it is hot all the time. Looking for a connection that will only be hot when the ignition is in the on/run position (engine running). Any other suggestions?

there are some empty slots in the ;fuse box in the ip that are unused, but that would have you pulling the fuse box and trying to wire it that way. They do have clips that you shove n teh fuse box under a fuse when tehkey is on an dyou put it to another fuse but it would have to be a larger fuse to connect it to. Or you may look under the hood for other wires that arenot connected that may be hot when the key is on. Headlights hsould be able to work all the time not just when the key is on unless they are auxillary lights which it soulnds like you are doing.

Yes I agree with your headlight comment ... but what I am trying to do is run the Halos as Daytime Running Lights (DRL) but I can't tie into the DRL power line because it is at reduced power (30% of full power I have discovered). The DIC/HVAC circuit is powered only in the ignition run position ... is there some place under the hood to tie into that power line?

you might rty a pink or orange wire that should be on with a key. I've looked through the wireing circuits and there are no empty ones that you don't have to go into the fuse box to get. that's why i suggested piggybacking a fuse on the hot side and then fusing th ehid lights.

Thanks for your help ... going back to the fuse box and pigging back on the DIC/HVAC line looks like my best option ... is there an easy place to fish a wire through the firewall? Or just drill and add a gromet and silicone?

no there is no easy place, just watch where you drillthrough so you don't hit something. silicone shoudl work as long as you don'tdrill the hole to big.
