engine spits and sputters under acceleration

my 02 grand prix gt spits and sputters under acceleration. i have just changed the plugs, wires and coil packs. my service engine light is not on

so it runs good when NOT accelerating and while idling?

yes the car idles fine and revs good in park only does it during acceleration. i did also replace the fuel filter. could it be the maf, fuel pump or the catalytic converter.

you should have codes read anyway to see if anything shows. fuel pressure test would help too. check the MAF for dirtiness. clean if necessary. maybe also test TPS.

Hey, I was wondering if you ever figured out the cause of your sputter? I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix gt 3.8L that’s doing the same thing
