2002 alero --no electrical power to anything
batt ok
drive belt changed 3 weeks ago

replaced ignition switch -still nothing
just went dead 4 hours (idle)
after driving with no problems--any suggestions

Did you check feed to and from the ignition switch, before you replaced anything?

Those red wires are voltage feed to ignition switch, hot all the time. You can check applicable fuses.
