The car will start but won't stay on unless you keep your foot on the gas pedal and we also checked the oxygen sensors We're having trouble checking the gas pump the fuel pump because the tank was full of gas And I'm having trouble removing the gas or going on the tank because it is very heavy I don't believe it is the fuel pump

Please use some punctuation, otherwise that huge sentence can be read at least three different ways. I did figure out the engine apparently will stay running as long as you hold the gas pedal down a little. If the engine runs, I'm not sure what the fuel pump story is about. It's obviously working.

The most common cause of hard starting unless the gas pedal is pressed 1/4", it wants to stall at idle or when slowing down, and it doesn't give the nice idle flare-up to 1500 rpm at start-up is the battery was recently disconnected or run dead. The Engine Computer has to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it has to be in control of idle speed. To meet the conditions for the relearn to take place, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the pedals.

Please start a new question, and PLEASE include the engine size, mileage, and transmission type. We use that information to tailor our replies. This was an old conversation between two people, and shows up on our list as having received a reply already. None of the other experts are going to see your addition or have a chance to reply. That won't get you the help you want.

Did you read my original answer? This is a common problem with an easy solution. Do this first, THEN we'll consider the more elusive fixes if that becomes necessary.
