just bought this car. It has 4 different brand tires on it. Will it hurt the car to drive it this way?

As long as the tires are the same size, you should be fine.

TRY TO INSURE THE 2 ON THE FRONT HAVE THE SAME NUMBERS ON THEM, THE REAR WHEELS ARE SORTA FOLLOWERS, THEY DON'T CARE.
YOUR RIG IS FRT WHEEL DRIVE, 2 DIFFERENT CIRCUMFERENCES MAY STRAIN THE DIFFERENTIAL ACTION......NORMALLY DIFF COMPENSATES FOR LONGER TRAVEL IN ONE WHEEL, AS YOU MAKE TURNS..... DIFFERENT SIZES UP FRT, MAKE IT ACT LIKE (THINK...) IT'S TURNING CONSTANTLY, EVEN GOING STRAIGHT!

Best to always have the same size/type tires on the rear as well, or at least the same pair that match on both sides of the rear. I didn't do this one day in a pinch, and on a wet slightly rainy road, coming off the highway, I nearly flipped the car. Did manage to do a nice 180 though, so still pretty scary.
