2002 Mercury Mountaineer rear end

I took my 2002 mountaineer to shop they replaced rear end and transfer case i left shop drove approx 10 miles and car broke down trans fluid everywhere found hole in trans and front end blew why is this. i was told they put wrong transfer case on which would cause this. Is this possible? Please help me?

these pictures show a hole in the front diff..... you said there is a hole in the transmission also? why did u have the rear diff, and transfer case replaced in the 1st place? we need more details on this, as any info will help us help you. also, is this fulltime 4 wheel drive?

ok my apologies it is a hole in front diff but there was ni issues with this before they replaced the transefer case and rear end it was vibratinh very bad from rear end. i purchased this vehicle 3 months ago.from car lot its awd. i have all same tires i feel they put the wrong transfer case on that caused this prib

thats what it sounds like.... did you bring it back? they need to make this right...
