You took a risk by changing the transmission without any diagnostics and if it had only been the wiring or a fault with the TCM, the problem might still persist.

If replacing the transmission solved the problem, the cause should be within the transmission itself but there is no guarantee that it is not going to give you any problem. Transmission fail from time to time so it id difficult to forecast what would happen and if the same problem would recur.
