Check Engine light blinks

Run a can/bottle of quality injector cleaner through it. Have the computer scanned for fault codes. Most parts stores will do it for free.

Your Kia has a fuel system that delivers an extra "spritz" of fuel at the instant that you step on the accelerator pedal to start the acceleration process. It either isn't getting it or it isn't being given properly. The injector cleaner should help. The computer scan will tell us if there's a problem with a sensor or system.

Thank you! I took it to Autozone for a diagnostic's test and it came back with a cylinder 4 misfire reading. Taking it to my mechanic in the morning and hopefully it's not going to cost too much.
