On my 2002 jag xk8, I started it one afternoon drove down the driveway and got about 100 feet and the car suddenly stopped acceleration, I stopped the car and it displayed safe mode, transmission I put it in reverse and drove back up the driveway it went fine,the light went off so I drove to my destination and back fine. Later I went to drive it again and the same thing happened but this time it stayed on so I parked it. The next day I started it and it ran fine for about 30 seconds and went back in safe mode. The same happened for the next 2 days. I didn't try it again for about 10 days, today, I drove it up and down the road, about half mile and it drove fine. I parked it and wrote to you. I don't want to hurt it but I have know idea what's wrong I checked the fluid level and it's down about 1/8 an inch, I'm not sure if I checked it the correct way. Can you tell me the most accurate way to check it and also if you think I can drive it to the Jaguar shop about 10 miles away. Thanks Rich
