2002 Isuzu Axiom Engine Mechanical issue

I removed the head because there was no compression in the number one cylinder and suspected a burnt valve. After removing the head I found that I was right. Sent the head to the machine shop had the valve replaced and a valve job done. Also had the head surfaced. Checked the valve clearance adjusted to within .009-.0013. The head is still very noisy does anyone have any ideas?

Recheck the valve clearance. Were the camshaft and rocker arms/carrier checked for abnormal wear?

We rechecked the valve clearance and all of the clearances are between .009-.010, there are no rocker arms, this is a duel overhead cam engine and even when we adjusted the valve clearance to the lower end of the spec. There wasn't a change in the sound of the head

Is oil flow to the camshaft good?
Are there any abnormal wear on the camshaft lobes?

The oil flow to the camshaft is good and could not see any signs of abnormal wear on any of the lobes. Is there anything else in the head that can make it noisy? At this point I'm stumped.

Noisy head are usually due to abnormal wear on the camshaft, improper valve clearance or oil flow. Slack in timing belt/chain can also result in noisy heads.
