Warning light CHECK ENGINE

Are they not capable of doing a basic diagnostic scan? every work shop should be able to do this a s all modern cars have systems that need scanning for diagnosis purposes.

Hi!, i´m sorry but in venezuela this car was sell only since 1999 untill 2003 trhe shops try to locate the scan port but they say that my truck don´t have it... someone is took it out, so i dont´t really know what to do.

I do not know what the equivalent model is, we do not have that model here, but regardless it will have a check port, there would be no reason to remove it, it will be under the dash or in the fuse box normally.
