2002 Honda Passport spark

i crossed the battry cables now i get no spark at the sparkplugs , evrything els works ,like the fule pump it turns over.now my question is do i spell rite? not rilly,, but is thair a quick burnout spot or a crank sencer .this is my first time doing a trouble shoot this way...make me happy,,,,,robert
