I need to know how the IMRC assembly works. Does the runner turn by the volume of air that is brought in the intake manifold which makes the actuator pump and then goes through the IMRC solenoid? And when is the valve position sensor open and close?

The Vehicle's computer controls the movement of the runner via IMRC actuator. For example, at idle the IMRC vacuum solenoid is commanded closed. When engine speed or RPM is above 4,300rpm the IMRC vacuum solenoid is commanded on which supplies vacuum to the IMRC actuator opening the intake runners. A IMRC position sensor is attached to the runner shaft so the vehicle's computer can monitor what it is commanding is actually happening or in other words when the vehicle's computer opens the vacuum solenoid is the intake runners moving.
The valve position sensor is closed when the engine is running at idle and open when accelerating over 4,300 rpm
Hope this answers your question.
