Where the lines connect to the radiator, i removed a pastic disc/clip, do i loosen the nut attached to the radiator to disconnect the transmission line ?

Dont remove that nut, that is a quick connect line, there is a small wire retainer clip that needs to be removed with a special tool or a small pick, then pull line straight out, be sure not to stretch clip, if you do or even think its strecthed, replace it. when you put the line back in, make sure it snaps in and cant be pulled out, then slide your plastic disc back over it.
