remove the cooling fans?

There are two kinds of cooling fans one electric the other hydrologic. You must start by jacking up the vehicle. Next disconnect the battery to avoid short circuits. Here is a guide to help show you what you are in for and diagrams (below) that will show what's is like on your car.
