I have a 2002 V6 ford mustang that's stuck in park and doesn't have brake lights. It's been like this for a while and I've been putting it in neutral and then cranking the car in order to get around and now my ABS light comes on from time to time. Obviously I'm making it worse, but I'm stationed overseas with few trustworthy mechanics and need to get to and from work. I've replaced the brake light switch near the brake pedal and that didn't solve the problem. What else can I do/order to resolve this?

Do high mount brake lights work? do you know of a shop that would have scaning ability to find out what is causing ABS to light?
