2002 Ford Excursion (2002) power window won't go up

My 2002 Ford Excursion Drivers side window won't go up. About a year ago I replaced the switch. I can hear a intermittent ticking coming from inside the door...even when I'm not pressing the switch.

....Also, The motor inside the door is very hot to the touch.

If the motor is hot to the touch, check for restrictions that could be holding the window. You're probably going have to get inside door and see what's going on. What was the reason you replaced switch before?
