How often should I change the transmission fluid? I have a manual transmission and it gets a lot of use in my commute. Everything seems ok, I just want to make sure I don't wait too long.

SERVICE INTERVALS

Check transmission fluid level at every engine oil change. Under normal service, change transmission fluid and filter at 150,000-mile intervals.
Service at 30,000-mile intervals when used under the following conditions:

l In hot weather with temperature greater than 90°F (32°C), carrying heavy loads and/or in hilly terrain.

l Towing a trailer or using a car top carrier.

l In police, taxi or door-to-door delivery service.

l Extreme dusty conditions or off-road use.
