Transmission loses all gears sometimes.and I hear a noise like something trying to engage .but the noise comes and goes .transmission never started slipping or acting funny .I lose every gear like its in neutral .

When it does have ?the gears it goes in them hard .like from park to reverse

The first thing I would check is for codes in the computer?Let me know the exact code numbers you have not code descriptions?
