Recently had the blower motor resistor replaced on my car because the fan speeds were only working on high speeds and not low...Since replacing it the fan speeds all work well but the resistor now gets very very hot to the touch....What could cause this? I cant think that the resistor getting that hot is a normal thing.

resistors will get warm due to their job, but check the ground wire to make sure it's got a good connection and clean. check the two grounds i have arrows to. also check yoru battery to body and engine grounds make sure they are good and clean.
