have to jump to crank engine

Have a new battery and alternator checked out fine. Also checked cables for corrosion but when car is shut off have to jump to crank. Also dashboard lights go crazy and interior lights dim on occasion. What could it be?

So the batterygets drained when the engine is off and sits for a while?

Yes. As soon as you shut the car off, you have to crank the battery. The problem we are having is so many sensor issues already cannot figure out which one or what is causing this problem. Car was running fine. Battery acted dead, bought a new one had battery and altenator vhecked by 2 mechanic shops both were fine but still dies upon shutoff, help!

something is staying on u need a draw test done

If the battery drains with the car off you have a parastic draw somewhere you will have to hook up the meter and start pulling fuses.Till you find the circuit the draw is on then figure out what is drawing the battery down.
