My dashboard lights went out and now my tail lights don't work. Which fuse(s) in my 2002 dodge neon controls the dashboard lights and tail lights?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a fuse out or the headlight switch is not working right, Here is a guide to show you how to find when you loose power.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

Here is wiring diagram so you can see how the system works and the fuse locations

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers

Electrical problem
1998 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 114000 miles

Okay i have a dodge neon 1998. Few days ago my tail light when out they don't work any more, they wont work when i break they wont work when I use my turning signals they only flash in the front of my car and inside my car in the dash board when i used my signal they flash really fast and when i turn on my hazards they flash normal but it still wont flash any light from the outside of the vehicle. I already putt in new light bulbs and new fuses and I don't think its the flasher cuz my light still flash in the front of my car so i don't know what it could be so if you could help me out plz do!!

Thank you

Your tail lamp gets voltage from the headlamp switch. At the rear black wire with yellow tracer, see if there is any voltage on that wire, with the headlamp switch on. Dark green with red tracer is for stop/turn. Black wire is ground. At the lower rear, your brake lites are wired through the turn switch. The stop and turn use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time, for lower. The high-mount brake lite is wired a little different. I'd check the voltage and ground circuit at the rear, to start.

My dash lights, meters and tail lights stopped working at the same time a couple of weeks ago and I checked the fuses and none of them were out. I was just wondering if the fact that they both stopped at the same time is just a coincidence or if it's a common problem and i was wondering what a solution would be. The turn lights, headlights, highbeams, radio and air work but the spedometer, odometer, gas levels, engine temperature and all dash lights do not.

The running lights in my car will not work, also the interior lights on my dash, and also the stereo work fine along with my interior head lamp. Also my rear running lights will not come on, i tried to change the fuse and it blows as soon as you flip on the lights. I have been trying to find a fail safe but cant figure this one out! HELP! I am tired of only driving in the day time. lol

Try taking the switch out and see if it still blows. I know what you mean about driving during the day. I would try that. See
