I drive a 2002 dodge grand caravan..I hear a thumping sound while steering wheel shakes

Well while I waited for an answer...I went to a mechanic and it turns out all I needed was two tires( could of jus went to a local tire shop),so all is back to normal.

That is a common problem when tires get old. The belts shift, tread wears unevenly. Often times they cause a sound like a bad wheel bearing.
