I am a missionary in Honduras... don't speak the language well enough to get help locally. I have a 02 dodge caravan. 3.3-V6 90K miles. just began running rough and the engine light is now on. at an idle seems to do fine. when parked, when i begin to accelerate it begins to run very rough."Missing" When driving it seems to do fine during acceleration but as soon as i let off the gas it begins to run rough.
I have had experience cleaning mass air flow sensors in the past so when i disconnected the hose from the filter bank I noticed it was not put on correctly last time the filter was changed and contaminated air was clearly mixing with the filtered air. So I cleaned the air flow sensor but no change.
I put 10 gallons of premium gas to see if a higher octane might help but still no change.
Thinking of changing the fuel filter next... any suggestions...?
