forgot to upload the picture of a three point drive motor

do i take off that metal piece in picture 4, to see if my motor is a gear type or a three point type?

this is a cable drive mechanism check with an auto parts it probably is one unit replcing regulator and motor.

sorry, when you said cable driven mechanism, are you saying it's not three point drive or gear type drive?

it shouldn't matter if it's an assembly because it will all come together but take the motor off to see if there is a difference.

so you're saying if i get matching regulator and motor, it would fit inside my door regardless what type of motor it is? how do i get the motor off the regulator? do i just unscrew any screws that i find? the regulator is still attached to the glass, should i cut all the cables to remove it?

what part are you not understanding when I said it's an assembly the cable and motor come together if it's the correct part you replace it.

I found two different versions of the motor and regulator, either a three point drive (pic 179244) or a gear type drive (pic 179243). you said the one that i have operates with a cable driven mechanism. so my question is if i buy a "three point" motor and regulator and replace the cable drive motor and regulator completely, would the three point version be compatible with the car?

These are the online parts that I'm thinking about buying for the car. They're not coming together. How do I assemble it when it comes? Will it work for my car is basically what I'm trying to ask.

it will probably bolt up or rivet to the cable drive I have no idea what you are looking for online nor what comes with your car the three point or 4 point is probably the way the motor or regulator bolt up. if you look at your own pic it shows three points

is this an easy fix that i could do myself? i honestly don't really know what i'm doing.

i was able to take off my door panel and plastic covering and took off all the screws, but i was only able to take out my motor halfway. do i have to cut the wires attached to the regulator to get out the entire unit? the window won't go any further down even if i push on it, and if i slide it up, it always lowers to a certain level.

Is this what I should do?

1) take off the panels, plastic and screws
2) lift the window up and support it with window holders
3) cut off the wires?? ( where and how do the wires attach to the window glass? i can't really see well inside my door and i kinda wanna cut whatever cables i see and try to pull everything out, but i'm not sure if that's the right thing to do)
4) take everything out and replace with a new unit? ( how does the window fit onto the new unit? )
5) plug in the electrical connects and see if it works?

or instead of buying a new unit, is there a way for me to just replace the cable instead?

I f you have the door panel off then you'll have to disconnect the regulator from the window and door if bolted to it we don't have much info on these cars once the regulator is off of window slide it up out of way and tape to door then pull regulator and motor out.
