2002 Citroen C2 Automatic 70000 miles

As i am travelling around 70mph and beging to slow withoutout braking,my car is making a grinding noise,it also happens when i depress the clutch,any ideas?

check wheel bearings .. driveshafts .. gearbox and clutch

i drive a Citroen C2 1.4 VTR and it does the same when i use the brakes. like metal on metal scratching. maybe the brake discs need to be changed? am i right?
