My minivan is leaking antifreeze??? Why???

I have a 2002 Chrystler Town & Country minivan. Recently it started leaking antifreeze. My husband thought it was the hose but when he got under the vehicle he noticed it leaking from a black box. What is the black box and what could this stem from and how can I repair it?

could be the tube from the lower rad hose to the water pump housing. it is a pipe that rots out constantly.

have it checked to verify.
