I can hear my brake light switch when I press the brake. I can hear the switch when I press the button on the shifter. But the truck stays in park and the shifter moves freely. What do I need to fix?"

more than likely the cable has broken or it cold be something else so you'll need to take console out and look at what is wrong. also have someone crawl underneath and check to seeif cable moves on trans..... see pics.
