Changed starter and try to hook up neg. Battery cable truck wants to start with ignition off.what's wrong?

had problems with starter fuse blowing. replaced all relays and checked fuses.

check the wires at the starter.
the big one goes on the big stud on the solenoid. the little one goes on the s terminal on the solenoid, the little stud.

Double checked, the little wire won't fit on big stud. It's impossible to get backwards
