my 2002 corvettes oil pressure gauge is maxed out at 80psi and stays there can I drive it?

Is the engine making any type of knocking noises? your problem here could be the oil pressure switch or the oil pump pressure relief valve is stuck closed-confirm it with a mechanical gauge
