This video shows the job being done on a similar car but the process is the same.

The speed sensor is in the transaxle output housing.

First, read the codes, then fix the problem, light will go out, if you reset it with a scan tool, without fixing it, the light will return! Go to this guide

My daughter recently changed the starter and the solinoid in her car. since then when she starts it up the lights on dash ( theft system, abs, airbag, seatbelt check engine etc.) continually flash on and off.

Here is the computer learning process they is no scanner style of reprogramming.

You can clear the codes before you begin though. Here is a video

https://youtu.be/ahK_eucFi-k

VEHICLE DRIVEABILITY RELEARN PROCEDURE
General Motors does not provide a specific procedure for driveability relearn. If a vehicle battery was disconnected for facilitating repairs or a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) was replaced, driving the vehicle will enable the PCM to relearn driveability. Inform your customer that he/she may experience driveability different from what they are accustomed to until the PCM completes it's relearn function.

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers,
