radiator replacement?

how do i drain coolant from the coolant system? the car is overheating and the heater does not work only the fan works. i need to know how to drain the coolant out of the car so i can add new coolant .

Here is the information you requested. I don't think this issue is being caused by bad coolant rather a thermostat issue. It's possible the thermostat is faulty-or stuck closed therefore not allowing the coolant to circulate through the engine and heater. Here are two tutorials showing how to replace an thermostat and change, flush the coolant:
