they replaced O2 sensor but the car did not pass

2002 eldorado 48,000 miles . will not pass the NY.S car inspection . i have driven this car 4000 miles in the last four years . the battery died and was replaced at a caddy repair shop.the check engine lite came on when i brought the car in for an inspect

Check engine light came on at the Napa service station , they replaced an O2 sensor, but the car did not pass the inspection. check engine light is not on.

I have driven this car 400 miles -- every 100 miles i have them check the car, They tell me to continue driving the car. my reg is up and i can not keep driving in circles. the car is in excellent condition .
