2002 Cadillac Deville My ELC compressor has stopped

I've had a set of subwoofers in my trunk for a few years now but I recently noticed that the ELC compressor on my Deville has stopped running completely. Could the constant weight in my trunk be the cause of this and if so, is there a fix without having to remove my subs?

it's not the weight of the subs that caused this. check fuse and relay if those are good then have a pro scan for codes.
