replace neutral safety switch???

how do i replace a neutral safety switch in a 2002 Buick LeSabre. According to the book it does have a neutral safety switch and parts places carry it. Just not sure how to get to it.

Hey LILBRAT69,

The switch detects when the transmission is in Park. You will need to remove the gear selector lever from the transmission and the mounting bolts for the switch, here is a guide that will show you what you are in for when changing this switch out.
