air conditioner on my 2002 bmw X5 won't shut off even when the motor is not running

Are you referring to the blower fan? as the compressor for the A/C is driven by the engine and can't work with the engine off.

I should had mentioned that it's the A/C blower inside the car that won't shut off while the engine is turned of, I have to remove the fuse in order to get it to stop. Please help!!

Its the final stage unit inside the heater box, it controls the fan speed, they fail all the time.
