2002 Acura RSX my wheel to the right it does not straighten up

2002 Acura RSX 65,000 miles. I recently went over the curb and damaged my Alignment, I recently had it fixed but now every time I make a long right hand turn or jolt my wheel to the right it does not straighten up by itself. I took it back to the Alignment place, they told me it wasn't my alignment but a word for a component I can't quite remember , I believe it started with a R - P ( two part word ) I'm assuming it was the rack-and-pinion system and told me to take it to the dealer. I was wondering how much would it cost. He said by fixing the alignment I could have possibly aggravated this problem.
