I've been looking around for cars and I came across this post ( http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars_for_sale/2001_Volkswagen_Passat_193627384_653 ). The car looks very clean, but you can see paint bubbling on the rear bumper (looks like a scrape almost if you look at the pictures). I'm just wondering if it would be a lot of trouble to repair this because i want my next car to be clean inside and out and the paint peeling just doesn't cut it for me. Any information is helpful! Thank YOU!

If the paints bubbling it would have to be repainted in that area.As far as paint we really don't get into that on this site.

There are many other things that would be of more concern with that make / model of vehicle, than paint on "plastic" bumpers.

As with any purchase, once you find a car that you like, take it to someone who specializes in that Make of vehicle and have them
do a Purchase Inspection. Don't rely on what the "Used Car Lot" says about the vehicle... they probably can't even do or provide a
full system scan which can show faults in: Central locking, Instruments, ABS, Airbags, Automatic Transmission, HVAC, Radio etc. etc.

A purchase inspection is Well worth the money.
