do jettas have inertia switches

car would bog down then one day wouldnt start seems like it is out of gas cranks up but as soon as i let go of key turns off it does have gas in car

They do have inertia switches that can fail without having a wreck. But, you can also see if the fuel pump is producinits reuirement by testing the fuel pressure.

No, Volkswagen does not use an Inertia switch. That is found on Ford products only.
