I have 13.0
It has had new turbo fitted etc
but when I start driving the turbo works fine,
but it eventually stops an the car drives so slow.
If I turn the engine off an back in it will work again for a short time
then stop again.
Had a code reader done and it came up with
p1549
P3005
p1672
Any idea what this could be and how to fix it?
Have had codes cleared and worked for a day and now it doing it again.

Hey Gavinw2312,

It looks like its the boost regulator valve has gone bad, before you replace it though, check all wiring connectors to make sure they are hooked up and in good condition, let me know.

Best, Ken

Hi, thanks for your reply Ken.
Yeah, I have checked all wiring no splits or splicing or any bad wires and all connectors are okay. Is the boost regulation valve the n75 etc?

Hi Gavinw2312,

The boost valve is where I would look next, the trouble code kind of point us in that direction, let me know how it goes.

Hi Ken, I have changed the valves and still not cured the problem. However, I have noticed I have a leak from my exhaust close to the engine bay. But yeah still no cure yet.

Can we clear the codes, drive the car, as soon as the light comes back on, stop and read the codes? I want to see which code is prominent. Also, the exhaust cannot leak so that must be fixed also, let me know. :-)

Best, Ken

Hi ken, I have done as requested codes that came up before I cleared them are as follows:
18080 coolant fan control 1 open/short to grd (intermittent) P1672
17957 boost pressure regulator valve (n75) open/short to ground - intermittent P1549
19461 relay for high output pre heating - coolant (j360) short to plus P3005 intermittent
17563 manifold pressure sensor G71 short with power P1156
19459 relay for low output pre heating of coolant J359 short to plus

I have cleared all the codes and drove the car until turbo shut off again and then checked code reader again
1st time was
17957 boost pressure regulation valve (n75) open or short to ground (p1549)
18080 coolant fan control 1 open or short to ground (P1672) intermittent
I then cleared the codes and done a second run until the turbo stopped again
came back with 17957 (P1549) and 17563 (P1156) really don't no what to do now

It sounds like we have a wiring harness problem with all this shorted to ground problems, especially the 17957 boost pressure regulation valve (n75) open or short to ground. Can we inspect the harness where it routes through the engine and bay, including the computer to see if wiring is damaged? If nothing can be found a pin to pin check of the harness is needed. Here is a diagram to get you started.

Let me know, Best, Ken

Okay, will give that a check. Also, could it have anything to do with the MAP sensor on the inner-cooler?

It is possible. The code did come up but was not there for the next round, hard to say.

This was 10 years ago, you might want to start your own thread so we can start again to find the problem. Do you have all of these codes as well?
