Hello, I am working on my sons 2001 VW Golf 1.8T and I need help. It all started when the car overheated one day. I replaced some cracked coolant lines and that fixed that issue. After that he noticed a weird whining noise on occasions and the Traction Control light was constantly on. We took it to the dealer and they diagnosed the vacuum pump needed replaced. We took it home and replaced the pump but the Traction control light still remained on, even after disconnecting the battery it always popped back on. I read the codes P0102 & P0118 so I replaced both the MAF and temp control sensor. The P0102 code still shows up and the Traction Control light remains on. I have checked for any additional vacuum leaks but don't find any. I performed a vac test on the brake booster and it holds vac fine. I am not sure what else to check.
