We have a 2001 toyota echo. The first sign of problem is that the car depleted two car batterys in like two days each. We chance the fuel tank, the alternator and the crank sensor. But the car just stalls now and doesnt turn on. They told me to clean the throttle plate and the iac hole but i dont know where it is (google doesnt help). Thanks for your help

The IAC isn't going to cause the battery to go dead. Run this test and tell me what you find.

The timing marks are on the crankshaft pulley and the camshaft pulley. Why are you into that? Have you checked timing with a light to see if it is close?

A neighbor told us that the toyota have like a security inside the door. If somebody try to open the car ilegally and knock one of these clips the car will stop workig. Is this true?

I never heard of anything like that. Some cars do have a security system from the factory. However, if the system is actuated, a security or anti theft light will come on.

Let's start over. The engine won't start, correct? Have you checked for spark and fuel to the engine? Will the engine start if you use starting fluid?

Your messages are fine. Since you already replaced the crank and cam sensors, I need you to check if they are getting power. You may have a bad wire to one of them or the PCM may be bad and not getting a signal.

If you have access to a real time data scanner, you could check if there is a signal through it.

Thanks for your patience. Before we change the cransensor and cam sensor we use a scanner. The scanner only show a message that says missfired.

That is found from the trouble codes. A live or real time scanner can show you what is happening while the engine is running.
