heating smells

when I turn my heater on it smells like gas inside the car the car is cold when this happens if I chage the cabin air filter will this make it stop.

So do you have a LW100 LW200 or LW300?If you have a raw gas smell you have a gas leak somewhere.

Then you have a 2.2L 4 cyl engine not a V6 2.6L you put.So can you smell gas from the front of the car or the back of the car?The most common place I have seen them leak fuel from is the fuel pump module right at the nipple where the fuel line comes off of it. They crack and leak there.if you have a raw fuel smell changing the cabin air filter wont fix that. You have to find the source of the smell.
